Located at Beilun Qingzhi Industrial Zone of Ningbo, Ningbo Asia Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd. is the result of extension and development of Ningbo Zhonghua. Now there are over 1000 employees in the company and the total investment is about 11.83 billion yuan. The investment in Phase I was 5.89 billion yuan on a piece of land of 1.76 million m2 (about 2600 mu). The construction area was 45000 m2. The construction began in October 2002, the equipment installation was finished on July 15, 2004, formal production was started in June 2005 and the annual production capability is 750000 tons now. The main paper production line is made by METSO of Finland. The width of the paper machine is 8.1 meter and the designed speed is 900 meter/min, it is the largest and most advanced paper-making machine in the world. With the most advanced equipments and technologies and the most advanced QCS and DCS quality control system, Ningbo Asia Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd. is one of the biggest companies that produce high class packaging paperboards. In order to practice the green papermaking idea, Ningbo Asia Pulp & Paper designed and constructed waste water treatment stations with daily treatment capability of 45000 tons and 4000 tons, and it also invested 40 million yuan to construct a closed round coal storage, so that coal can be stored and transported inside the closed space. Besides, the advanced desulfurizing equipments and the circulating fluidized bed boiler with advanced dusting and desulfurizing technology make sure that sulfur in the discharged waste gas can reach the National Standards. For waste water recycling, Ningbo Asia Pulp & Paper uses a closed white water recycling system and it is the papermaking enterprise with the lowest water consumption for each ton of paper production in China. The company has a power plant with two sets of 300 T/H CFB boilers and two sets of 62.4 MW generators to provide electricity for production.
